And now shes 8...

Oh the time that passes before we realize it!

Aubrey is 8 now, Ty is 5, and Wes is nearing 3. They light up my world like no other! I am so blessed.

Its time for new things in my life. This year I send 2 kids to school. I have started painting, crafting, cake-ing, and other stuff. I am still not good at laundry and dishes, but I have a husband who is AMAZING! I will continue to work on those things, but it is time for new things.

I am adding to my list of careers this: Author and Speaker. I have been writing more and more. Most of which i don't have a clue what I am going to do with it. But its time to get real. I am in another valley of life, but this time I am going to keep walking. I am pressing on, even when I feel like a wrecking ball (Shout out to Building429 for their awesome song!!) destroying things when I am only trying to do good.

I keep walking. And writing.

I am hoping to be blogging a lot. Here, maybe. On my ministry site, as often as possible. And on our MOPS site, regularly.

So, this is our family site. I am going to try to keep up with family things here. If you are interested in my ministry writing check it out at www.beautifulbeforethelord.org. And if you are mom with kids not yet in school, keep up with our MOPS of Hamilton site (www.mopshamilton.org).

I guess its time to do something with all the things God has taught me. I became a mom near the time I came to understand myself as a child of the King. In fact, Aubrey was 9 months when I walked into our church for the first time. And now she is 8....

It was 7 years ago when two became a family of three. Aubrey Jean was born and our world changed. She is so beautiful, smart, and funny. She keeps us on our toes and helps us grow into better people each and every day. I am so glad God has given me the privilege of being mommy to this child of his.

Wesley James Dickman

Early this morning we welcomed our newest gift from God, Wesley James, into our world. He was born at 4:17am, weighing 8lbs 6 oz, and measuring 21 inches long. He is a precious and healthy baby boy. Brian and I adore him already. The smiles have been constant, and I know will continue for the days ahead. With much love we say welcome to the family, Wes!

We carved our pumpkins on Saturday night. Of course Aubrey wanted Rapunzel, and Ty wanted Buzz. At first they didn't want to get their hands in the goop, but after a few minutes and the bribe of using the cool tools they dug in. In the end they turned out pretty good. Now we hope they last to Halloween.

An update on us...

Hi everyone!

The Dickman gang here has been so, so busy!  I wanted to take a few minutes to update you on our life and post a few pictures.  So, here's what we've been up to:

Tyler is 12 weeks now!  I can't believe it!  He is nearly 14 pounds and doing great.  We had a bout wi
th some major reflux issues, but all seems good now.  He sleeps all night-- its amazing!  He is so good-- just like I imagine when my mother-in-law tells me Brian was a good baby.

Aubrey is 2 and a half going on 13.  She is so smart and interest
ed in everything.  Her nickname right now is repeat.  She reads books (by memory, of course) to us and loves to play outside.  She is working on going potty, so encourage her whenever you get the chance!!

On Mother's Day we had both kids dedicated at church.  Aubrey was the talk of the day-- she made the congregation laugh a few times.  For her age, she did awesome!  It was such a blessing to be able to dedicate the kids.  We love our church family and
are so excited to raise our kids in this way.  You can see a few pictures our friend Elise took for us in the photo album.

Brian and I have struggled with some illness lately.  We both have MRSA.  Aubrey has it too, in the form of impetigo.  Thanks to lots of meds we are finally kicking it.So far Tyler has not shown any symptoms and we hope it stays that way!

There are some new photos from the children's museum, Easter, and Madeline's graduation in the photo gallery too.  There is also a new Tyler and new Aubrey gallery.  Oh, and I finally posted the pictures of the Flying Pig (Go Liz and Michael!).

We are all doing well now, hanging out and being a family.  We have planted a garden again and look forward to watching Aubrey get excited about that.  This summer will be lots of zoo trips, sprinklers, and baby milestones.  We will check in whenever we can!  We hope you all are doing great too, and we hope your summer is as fun as can be!

Baby Brothers room and other house stuff...

Hi! Mommy, Daddy and I have been working on our house. We are almost done with Baby Brother's room. It looks so cool. Here are some pictures:

Daddy also lowered the kitchen cabinets so mommy could reach better... they were way high! He also put lights up on top of them so we have a cool night/morning light. Its pretty neat. Here is a picture of it with the lights on and the lights off:Only a few weeks until Baby Brother gets here! Daddy and I are working on a new blog scheme... he he he. See you soon!

Christmas

Okay, I know it is WAY past Christmas, but daddy did put up some pictures. It was a lot of fun! I got a drum set and a guitar! I am a rock star now!! I got lots of other things too! Santa brought me a fish tank and some toys. I am sad that it is over, and I keep asking mommy and daddy when it will be time again. I still pretend to be Santa and say "Ho ho ho" sometimes. Can't wait till next year!!

Daddy's girl

Hi dudes. I have to tell you about something my daddy taught me. Here is what happened yesterday:

My mommy put on a Tshirt that had lots of letters. I am learning my letters so I started telling mommy what letters I saw. I saw an O, a U, a Y, and a few others. After I named all o them mommy told me that it says "Journey" and I said, "JOURNEY RULES!" Daddy taught me that. Now mommy and Daddy think it is very funny so I say it all the time. Mommy's shirt was really for the Journey of Hope, but thats okay.

Hope everyone is good this busy month! Be good so Santa will bring you presents and cake- just like me!

My Baby Brother!

Hi everyone! I found out today that I am having a baby brother! Here is a picture of him. He is still in mommy's tummy getting big and strong. I can't wait for him to be here. We will have lots of fun playing cars and trains. Mommy and I get to work on his room and do lots of shopping between now and March.
